I haven't touched my Orange White notebook in a few months but I do still add to it. Now and again a new idea for the project pops into my head, a smile slithers across my elegant façade, and I race for the notebook, which contains only riffs and riffs on the 1961 painting "Orange - White" by Ellsworth Kelly. One day I will link up and build with the Worcester Art Museum to take 6 months to develop as many of these concepts as I can for a real barn-burner of a exhibition. Until then I'll keep filling the notebook, and when I'm done with this notebook, I will get another.
I posted about this before, and when I did I said I'd post again when I had 100 entries total. Well with yesterday's drop of 9 new ones I think I'm at 101. So here we are.
Usually I save the links for the end but I'll just link out the first post here. The intro post has the first half of this notebook, plus 2 levels of preamble, plus an appendix. You can skip the writing if you feel like you get the gist, and then maybe you'll come back to it later when you're like OK seriously what is the deal here.
[Orange White, 1961 - present (part 1]]
final ado, on a personal note:
Orange White ideas notebook pt 2

- Again, part one is here: [Orange White, 1961 - present (part 1)]. I'm going to try for a part 3 much sooner than 6 years from now, but I'm also going to say that by part 3 I'll have built at least... 5? of these. I don't want you guys to think that all I do is write things in notebooks. I'm working on the quilt now.
- Lance has a new band out of Philadelphia with Tominsky as the wildman, Kira on bass, and Emily on guitar. Saw them play last March and it was incredible, great band. They did "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"??? I met half the band when they were still in high school in the jolly 2000s (had to be reminded of this), then a few years ago I helped a quarter of the band download their beloved art teacher's old blog (using wget). Then Lance rounds out the ensemble. There's no link, just be on lookout!
- Chris Weisman "Orange Car" from his album "Folly Builder" [bandcamp]. For those who like beautiful music!
Point me to true north
point me at the sea
point me in the texture of a fantasy - If anyone from the Worcester Art Museum is reading this, please reach out! I could honestly build anything in this notebook, or make the necessary phone calls to have them built, with the exception of the weed pipe. I'm not sure how achievable that level of detail is in that medium. But I'd give it a shot! 2028??? I would also entertain offers from other museums. Or just "Hi", that's also valid, just saying hi :)
- I don't think I say this enough, but thank you for reading :)

I'm working on something fun with this, with like, cool little icons. but for now all this does is allow you to sign your name in a way that identifies you as the writer, so no one can spoof you. And it turns your name gold. :)
