Panettone Taste of Italy – Bruno Albouze

I admit, I have a fair amount of "food guy has a nice accent" videos in the queue for this project. It's kind of a low hanging fruit but you know what, fruit is delicious, wheresoever it may hang. Here's one that's seasonally appropriate for pannetone season, it's "Panettone Taste of Italy". Content warning: pannetone. Do not watch if you're trying to avoid the desire for Milanese breads.

Bruno's voice is hypnotic, he kind of breaks each sentence into too many emotions, like a movie announcer:

[mild urgency] Sometimes, [tender caring voice] the help you need the most, [eyebrows raise] is right there... [10% laugh] under your [question] nose [camera pans down to anteater]. Then he's got this accent that I personally find unpredictable, I can't guess which way it's going to go and each syllable that rolls out is a delight to behold. And the combo, of the over-attentive performance and the surprising diction, plus the subject matter (which few could disagree with), I don't know what to say other than it really sends me. Passion, authenticity, attention to detail, panettone. Then, just when you're falling into it, Bruno transitions from using a room mic in his echoey kitchen to overdubbing vocals in what I imagine is a cozy computer den, and his voice is suddenly and almost horrifyingly present. It's like an audio jumpscare. Like he was on speakerphone and then had to go back to handheld to say something delicate and possibly devastating. Then at the end he really sticks the landing, strong finish. Perfecto.
