everything is everything
did you ever throw an air mattress down the stairs?
Hmmmmmm maybe this doesn't count as a "pleasant realm", because it's an art thing, but for the time being I'm going to let it slide because, well, it feels right. It's "Everything Is Everything", a video by Koki Tanaka that was shown at the Taipei Biennale in 2007.

Video is 6 minutes long
I don't think I can really explain what all these short clips have in common other than to say that they are all members of a set of "stuff like this". I can easily imagine myself hanging out with a couple friends on a lazy afternoon, and someone goes "hey check this out", and then performs one of these actions, or something similar, just a funny little unexpected move. Then there’s a pause, and someone else goes "I got one too" and does another, maybe using the same object, maybe using something else. Then a third person gets in the mix, “OK, OK, I got one”, and then you have a certified activity. This goes on all afternoon and into the next day, and the pace slows eventually but still every now and then for the next few months one of them says "here's one" and puts a dishglove on a bottle of Pepsi or something. Maybe a couple times someone does one and the response in the room is "hmmm... that's not really one..." even though no one can really say why, and the group retools it, a process that goes on until everyone is satisfied. Maybe it was too clever, or too complicated. But then someone says "what about just this" and instead of all the other stuff they just throw a bunch of the magnets on the floor. Everyone smiles. There it is.
Sorry to anyone that can't feel me on this. Cheers to those that feel me on this. This video is from 2007 and the artist is still working, although his YouTube hasn't been updated in a while. His website is here: [https://www.kktnk.com]. Sadly he didn't make another 50 videos like this, or if he did he hasn't released the tapes. But his other stuff looks cool too.
Peace everyone :)
If someone sent this to you because you interact with homegoods like a space alien, or simply because you like a series of short clips (any kind) interspersed with pictures of food (any kind), then you might like other things I've written.
