Ok sorry for posting so much but my gallery show “Animal Year” opens tomorrow at Sutton St in Providence, it’s all stuffed animals from a stretch of time in 2004-2005 when I made 1 a day every day. Opening is tomorrow (Wednesday) 5-8 pm, 159 Sutton St and I’ll have open hours next week when I’ll be hanging out the gallery serving coffee. Full schedule on the website, link in bio.

What’s up fools don’t forget my gallery show “Animal Year” opens this Wednesday January 16 2019 at 159 Sutton St. Opening is 5-8. You can also visit me at the gallery on other days. Those days are listed on the website (link in bio). Almost everything in the show is from 2004-2005, a spell of time during which I made a different stuffed animal every day. It was a weird project that I have many thoughts about, too many for this margin to contain. Almost everything has never been shown publicly. I would love to see you! Please share a link to the show where appropriate.

Iron, after Man Ray. Been brushing these stuffed animals getting ready for the show (opening Weds, link in bio). Feels good to clean em up and feels great to see detritus pile up on this stiff brush. Probably gonna be at the gallery all day today if any of my buds want to bring me a beer, box of generic Oreos, or both, or neither. Text first 👒

Damn I can’t find this guy either… last seen here in the pages of Paris Match (next to Proust and Flaubert lol). Did I give this guy to someone out there? I think of this one as sort of emblematic of the whole project, it would be a shame to proceed without. “Animal Year” opens Jan 16 at Sutton St gallery Providence. Link in bio. Come back to me little guy

Now that cell phones don’t have that little loop for a piece of string, what do you do with your netsuke? I put this little dog on this small and easy-to-misplace pair of extremely sharp snips. Kind of a Geoff Darrow vibe but extremely practical! And the tiny bell lets me know they’re in the bag. Let’s hear it for the tools of the trade!

Ok I put them all out and checked them all off. Currently missing “Disembodied Soul” and “Pool Of Glamorous Blood”. “River With Tributary” is confirmed lost. A few need repair and they all could do for a brushing. I couldn’t get them all in frame because I’m here by myself and I’m afraid of using the tall ladder. My show “Animal Year” opens Jan 16 in Providence, and I’ll be hanging out in the gallery pouring coffee for a few scheduled days after. Link in bio!

I’m at the “dump it out and look at it” stage of the gallery install. Dollar bill for scale. “Animal Year” opens Jan 16 5-8 at Sutton St., link in bio.
